October Studies: Student Teaching, Biographies, and Presentations, Oh My!

October was a busy month!  Here are a few highlights and pictures:

Students continued to teach skills to one another, showing everyone how to complete the task by demonstrating how to do it and guiding others as they try themselves.  We learned how to make shuriken, pancakes, introduction to a variety of sports, and watercolor painting. Great job everyone and thank you for sharing your talents with everyone!

In our unit of inquiry we explored the lives of fictional and non-fictional figures with a focus on how events in their past guided their future in regards to change.  Students focused on the growth and development of each of their subjects, learning about how the past can shape the future.  After finishing their projects, everyone presented their findings to the class.  We all learned about change and how it can be positive or negative.
